I haven't fanarted in ages so here's Sucy from the popular animated short Little Witch Academia. It's directed and designed by Yoh Yoshinari who has a way of drawing figures and faces that I really like. Watch it on youtube!

It's part of a government-funded drive to showcase work by young animators, so the production quality is very high. This makes it fun to watch but if it ever gets picked up as a show (which it might, given the attention it's getting) it'll probably not look as swish, which would be a shame. I'd still watch it, though.

Sucy has some fun design elements but I just drew her because she's cool. When she wears her robes she sorta becomes this weird stooped blob that shuffles along the ground.

I worked into that painting of Lash a bit and now I'm happier to call it finished. Used 3d to mock up the Black Bomb as I'm pretty anal about geometrical shapes and I couldn't get it perfect freehand.

I've been away in Brussels for the last week. I did this before I left but I figure I should post it. Trying (again) to develop my digital painting. Blanca pointed out it looks a little Dresden Codak-y which is interesting but it could look a lot better.

Another one! I might add something to suggest scale - he's supposed to be really short.

Veigar was actually the first champion I properly played in LoL. He's of its resident halfling race, a yordle, but whilst most of them are generally pretty amicable chaps he distinguishes himself by being one of the most evil beings on the planet. He's a straight-up caster character, with a shit-ton of burst damage and some mean cc, and is one of the few characters who can scale infinitely - he gains permanent ability power for every kill, including minions, so in a long game you're going to be melting quite a lot of face.

Don't understand any of the above? Play some LoL with us! It's free and fun and I usually play it with friends on skype.

did this a little while ago for an opera my dad was directing last year. He wanted some animation to start it out, you can watch the result below. I managed my time badly with it so it doesn't have as many inbetweens as it should do to make it look all swish, but considering it's the first "proper" lipsync I think I'd ever done I'm really happy with it. Mostly unique mouthshapes, an attempt at acting, etc etc.

also bear in mind that it was accompanied and interspersed with opera, and projected 10 foot high on a wall through quite a lot of dry ice.

some different colours.
I messed around with the legs, they were a little too cartoony. I also engaged in some indulgent descriptive fluff. If you open the image in a new tab you might be able to make out some of the text.
